How to prepare an oral presentation?

Each oral presentation is assigned a 20 minutes’ slot. Conference rooms are equipped with a PC with a projector which supports typical multimedia file formats (ppt, pptx, Google Docs, flash, avi, mp4, mp3, etc.). Each PC will have internet connection. The organizers want to ensure that the presentations fit their scheduled slots and to allow the participants to switch sessions, therefore please copy your files to the PCs during the coffee and technical breaks. That is also why the presenters will not be allowed to use their own equipment. If you are not sure whether your files will open on our equipment, please contact us beforehand.
Due to the extensive and loaded conference programme, we suggest the form of an oral presentation for presenting research results, while mini-seminars and workshops are suggested for presenting clinical experience (regarding both assessment and therapy).

How to prepare a workshop or a mini-seminar?

Target participants of workshops and mini-seminars include SLTs and students, therefore the issues taken up in these forms of presentation should be practical in nature. Each workshop/mini-seminar is assigned a slot of 40/60/90 minutes (the actual length of the workshop/mini-seminar will be suggested by the Organizing and Programme Committee after reviewing the proposals).
Workshops may take the form of a case study, sample assessment, addressing a given issue cross-sectionally, choosing a particular therapy plan, etc. The outline of the workshop/mini-seminar should include the aim of the presentation, short description of clinical experience mentioning theoretical background, and recommended literature, resources and materials. Activities engaging the participants will be very much appreciated (e.g. brainstorming, problem-solving, Q&A).

How to prepare a poster?

The max. dimensions of the poster are 594 x 841 mm. The poster should be of vertical orientation and may be either colour or black and white. The content of the poster should be visible from a distance of at least a few steps which will allow for it to be watched by a few people at once. Please make sure that the fonts are legible and that the content is displayed on the poster in a clear manner which facilitates readability.
The organizers suggest the following elements to be placed on the poster: title, authors and their affiliation, introduction (or summary), theoretical background, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, references.
However, final outline of the poster depends on the character of the presented research or clinical experiences.
